So many candidates literally stalk ROTA positions and only apply if they see the words “ROTA” “Rotational” or “Rotating” in the job description.

These candidates have very few responses to their applications and do not understand why?

As we have already explained in another post, it’s not by applying to absolutely all ROTA nanny jobs you see advertised that you will land a ROTA position.

ROTA positions are highly coveted, if not the most coveted positions.

Almost all candidates looking for a nanny position want a ROTA position and not all vacancies are rotational positions, far from it… the competition is therefore much tougher for these positions.

ROTA positions may receive several hundred applications, while other positions that are not rotating sometimes receive fewer than 10 applications…

ROTA positions are already very difficult to get because families want candidates who are not just motivated by the fact that the position is rotating, so if you are only open to rotational positions, you significantly reduce your chances of getting a job.

As explained in other posts, you should remain open to all decent possibilities and possibly consider positions that are lower-competition if you want to increase your chances of finding a position.

Finding a ROTA position can take months or even over a year. You may never even get a ROTA position. We therefore strongly advise candidates to be less stubborn if they wish to find a position… There are plenty of other decent positions available, and you can always continue to look for a rotating position while working a non-rotating job!
