Families like nannies who can pitch in when needed. The nanny’s responsibility must therefore be clearly outlined in the contract.
It’s ok to do things outside of your job description as long as it works for you. After all, there is a difference between helping out to be nice and being taken advantage of.
(If you choose to do something outside of your contracted responsibilities, communicate carefully though so that they don’t assume it has become your responsibility…)
However, you don’t have to do things outside of our job description. If you don’t want to be flexible, that’s your right and you also need to take your breaks otherwise you will burn out.
