Yes Nannies, you’re entitled to a lunch break, so take some down time to eat just like any other position!
It’s not always easy to take a lunch break, especially when you work with toddlers who don’t nap anymore… and it’s never a full break because you cannot leave the children alone, but even if you cannot leave the house, you deserve to have some time to yourself, and obviously you should be paid for this time because you’re on call if the children need anything or if there is an emergency!
Do not forget to discuss this with your nanny family when you start working with them!
