Nanny, Housekeeper, House Manager, Personal Assistant are separate positions. You can’t hold them all and be paid the same rate as one.

Nannies aren’t Swiss Army knives, they’re childcare professionals and are not responsible for running the entire household.

If you need to delegate additional responsibilities unrelated to childcare, you should either increase the hourly pay rate or hire additional household staff, depending on the time these additional responsibilities will take.

Unfortunately, the trend is to combine 2 or 3 very distinct and often full-time roles for a single salary, and it is increasingly difficult to establish clear boundaries as the trend is towards blended roles.

What are your thoughts on these all-in-one positions? Are you able to set boundaries? Do you manage to be paid fairly for these roles?
