A French-Swiss family living in Ixelles in Brussels is looking for an experienced English-speaking nanny to join them in caring for their 3 children. Mum is a lawyer and dad works in the film industry.
The family have an 11-year-old daughter, a 6-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter.
The children grew up in an English-speaking environment and had an Irish nanny for two years. Since the Irish nanny left, the parents have noticed a decline in their children’s English skills so they would like to hire a fluent speaker to help their English improve.
The children attend school from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, the nanny will work from 8am – 8 pm from Monday to Friday. The nanny will be entitled to an hour or more of rest during the day.
At 8am, she will be responsible for driving the youngest child to school, while one of the parents will drop off the older two children at the French speaking high school.
The nanny will be responsible for all the needs of the children. This includes: setting up various fun activities, organizing their daily lives (including making appointments, and managing child related shopping.) and homework help.
The nanny will need to speak English to the children exclusively.
A housekeeper takes care of tidying the children’s rooms and their laundry. The only nursery duties required are cooking for the children and assisting with their bath time routines.
The nanny will be asked to accompany the family on holidays. The family often visit their country house located 2 hours from Brussels, they also visit the island of Ré, where they own a house on the seaside. This will be planned in advance and time off en leiu or a bonus will be offered to the nanny.
A separate apartment is provided for the use of the nanny. The family will take care of all expenses related to the apartment.
A good driver is needed. An automatic car and a manual car will be available for nanny’s us.
Salary : €4,200 net per month.
