A professional family in Jeddah is seeking a trusted and experienced Governess to support the education and wellbeing of their three children, aged 7, 9, and 11. The ideal candidate will act as a proxy parent when required, ensuring the smooth running of the household in a relaxed yet professional environment. This fully staffed home offers a supportive atmosphere where professional boundaries are respected.

The Governess will play a pivotal role in supporting the children’s academic development, emotional wellbeing, and daily routines. They will coordinate tutors, oversee afterschool activities, and provide extra support in Maths and English, helping to foster a love of learning while maintaining a structured, nurturing environment. A background in child psychology or related fields is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the children are up and ready for school, with a nutritious breakfast provided

  • Assist with homework, school projects, and provide additional support in Maths and English

  • Coordinate afterschool activities, clubs, and playdates

  • Liaise with schoolteachers regarding academic progress and development

  • Support the children’s mental and emotional wellbeing

  • Travel with the family and act as a proxy parent when needed

  • Oversee healthy meals and dietary requirements

  • Manage wardrobes, laundry, and children’s personal organisation

  • Maintain professional standards and contribute to a smoothly running household

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Governess, Nanny, or in childcare

  • Strong background in child development and education

  • Excellent English language skills; additional language skills a plus

  • Experience with Maths tutoring or academic support

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Trustworthy, reliable, and adaptable to family needs

  • Willingness to live in the family home and travel as required

  • Travel-friendly passport
  • Background in child psychology or similar field preferred
