Japanese-Speaking Nanny – Arlington, VA
A family in Arlington, VA is seeking a caring and experienced Japanese-speaking nanny to provide full-time care for their newborn. The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese and English, experienced in newborn care, and capable of creating a nurturing and safe environment while supporting the baby’s early development and language exposure.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional nanny who enjoys working closely with infants and is comfortable communicating bilingually to foster early language and cultural development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive, hands-on newborn care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and monitoring sleep
Support early developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment at all times
Prepare meals and snacks for the child as needed
Perform child-related household tasks such as tidying nursery, organizing baby items, and handling baby laundry
Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, milestones, and concerns
Encourage bilingual language exposure in Japanese and English
Qualifications & Requirements
Fluent in Japanese and English (required)
Proven experience caring for newborns or infants
Knowledge of safe sleep, feeding, and infant developmental practices
Patient, reliable, and nurturing
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents
References from previous childcare positions preferred
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay: $25–$35/hour
