A family based in Menlo Park, California is seeking an experienced Japanese-speaking nanny to provide attentive, development-focused care for their 1-year-old child. Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive, nurturing, and responsive care for a 1-year-old toddler
Support developmental milestones through age-appropriate play and activities
Create a language-rich environment by speaking Japanese with the child daily
Encourage early learning, communication skills, and social development
Establish and maintain consistent routines for feeding, naps, and play
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child
Handle diapering, dressing, and overall daily care
Keep nursery and child-related areas clean, organized, and safe
Manage child-related laundry and supplies
Ensure a stimulating, engaging, and structured environment
Provide regular updates to parents on daily activities, routines, and developmental progress
Work collaboratively with parents to support consistency and goals
Qualifications & Requirements
Fluent Japanese speaker (required); English proficiency preferred
Proven experience caring for toddlers in a private household setting
Strong knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices
Warm, engaging, and proactive personality
Reliable, organized, and professional
