Private Educator / Travel Tutor for High-Profile Family – Gstaad, Switzerland
A high-profile family in Gstaad, Switzerland is seeking a qualified and experienced Private Educator to accompany them on a six-week trip from March to April 2026. The primary focus of this role is to provide structured educational support to an 11-year-old girl while travelling, ensuring continuity in core academic subjects such as Maths, English, and Science. Candidates with additional proficiency in French and/or German are highly desirable.
The successful candidate will combine tutoring with pastoral support, establishing a balanced daily routine that integrates focused learning, enrichment activities, creative projects, and downtime appropriate for the child. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, tracking progress, supporting emotional well-being, and maintaining structure in a dynamic travel environment.
This position is ideal for a confident, adaptable professional who enjoys travel, can work independently, and has prior experience as a tutor, governess, or nanny-tutor with children of a similar age. The educator must be able to provide both academic guidance and supportive care, ensuring the child remains stimulated, motivated, and happy throughout the trip.
All travel, accommodation, and living expenses will be fully covered for the duration of the contract, providing a comfortable and professional working environment.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a tutor, governess, or nanny-tutor with children aged 10–12
Expertise in core academic subjects: Maths, English, Science
Additional language skills (French/German) advantageous
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
Experience providing pastoral care and maintaining routines for children
Confident, flexible, and adaptable in changing travel environments
