It’s frustrating to be told “You’re not the right fit” especially when you made it to the interview stage, but it’s actually normal that not every family will click with you.

It’s not just about being the right person on paper, in terms of experience, training, availability, etc…

There are many other factors that influence a family’s choice of a nanny over another, and often, they are not so obvious to assess from a resume alone.

Families look for nannies who align with their family’s values, parenting style, and way of life. So they also consider cultural fit, caregiving style, energy level, personality, communication skills, etc. to ensure the nanny will be a perfect fit for their own lifestyle and preferences.

It’s not enough for your CV to tick certain boxes to be compatible… not every family you interview with will be the right fit, and that’s okay!
