If you want to be respected as a nanny, of course you need to have boundaries, but if you want to be interviewed and then hired and then keep your job, you also need to know how to respect the rules of others (i.e. families, agencies, childcare websites etc…), you cannot impose your choices on them and dictate to them what they must do…
One of the keys to succeeding in this industry is knowing how to stay in your place and not want to control everything! If something doesn’t suit you and you don’t want to compromise, just move on instead of bossing people around! No one has an obligation to do everything you want just because it suits you!
