So many candidates publish their CV and full contact details (phone number, email address, home address) on social media (Facebook, Instagram) hoping it will help them find a job.
That is not going to help you find a job and here is why we advise you not to do this :

1 – Privacy concerns
When you post your CV and contact details on social media, this information becomes publicly (or at least semi-publicly) available.
If you want to be hired as a nanny, safety should be one of your top priorities.
Social networks are full of spammers who steal personal information, and when you make your personal data available to them on social media, you show potential employers and recruiters that you don’t care about your own safety and privacy, and they may then assume that you won’t care about your future employer’s privacy either…

2 – It screams desperation
Posting your CV on social media means “I’m desperate for a job” and letting the world know about it is not a good idea. Why? Because it subtly indicates that you might not be a top candidate.
Indeed, the best candidates are not desperate for a job, although they are always open to new opportunities.

3 – Plagiarism
Believe it or not, but many candidates do not hesitate to copy and paste the CVs of other candidates to try and improve their own CV!
If employers or recruiters discover that multiple applicants have submitted identical or very similar resumes, they may question the integrity of those applicants.

It could affect your professional reputation if your resume is publicly available. And anyway, if it were enough to post your CV on Facebook to find work, it would be public knowledge!
