So many nannies sabotage their job search by doing this and don’t even realize it!
Yes, the job search is difficult, and when you’re fed up with being told no all the time, or not being seen, bashing whoever pissed you off lets off steam.
Think of it this way:
☆ Everyone has negative experiences, and that’s okay.
You’re not the norm, and just because you had a negative experience doesn’t mean everyone else will. What didn’t work for you might very well work for someone else.
☆ It’s not just nannies who are disappointed with agencies, it happens that agencies are disappointed with candidates, yet when this happens, agencies do not go straight to Facebook to harm the candidate who pissed them off…
Badmouthing is rarely the solution to moving forward in your job search and it’s really not a good idea to do it publicly… When you make sure that the unpleasant things you say will be shared with the greatest number of people, you are usually the one who has to suffer the most negative consequences.
It’s much more difficult to get hired when you come across as someone who is angry.
So if you really can’t help it, at least try to be smart about it… and leave no trace!
