Of course nannies should apply to multiple jobs at the same time for the best chance of success, however applying to any and all positions you see advertised is not a good strategy.

Lots of candidates send dozens (or hundreds) of applications per day without even reading the job descriptions or without even trying to understand the job requirements and do not understand why they do not get dozens are hundreds of answers… It is pretty obvious : when you send so many applications in such a short time, chances are you’re actually sending unsuitable applications. There’s no way all of these jobs are right for you, and applying when you’re not a good fit just wastes everyone’s time…

It’s important to apply for jobs that align with your skills and experience only. Applying for too many unsuitable jobs can actually hurt your chances to be shortlisted. Recruiters will not only question your attention to detail if you’re applying for jobs you’re not qualified for, it will also cause them to question whether or not you really want the job or if you simply want any job.

Applying for many unsuitable positions can tell potential employers or recruiters that you do not know what you want and you do not have an area of expertise, or that you may be desperate for work. Employers tend to want someone who is seeking a career not just another job…

It’s better to send one or 2 quality applications per day rather than 100 unsuitable applications!
