Upper East Side family with three kids ages 15, 12, and 9 are looking for a long-term full-time nanny/personal assistant. The schedule will be Monday-Thursday from 12pm-8pm, with one late night a week (2-10pm), Saturdays 2pm-10pm. The candidate must be flexible to come in early or stay late if needed. This person must be a team player, hard worker, and a positive person. The day is a mix of 2 hours of administrative work, 2 hours of pick-ups/drop-offs, 2 hours of playing with kids and homework, cleaning up from dinner, and walking their puppy at night. It’s a plus if the candidate can travel domestically with the family but not a requirement. They spend summers in the Hamptons (where this person will live-in) and the kids are in sleepaway camp for 5-7 weeks over the summer.
Some other duties include shopping, making item returns, family administrative duties, planning schedules, doing some light cleaning up after dinner, and maintaining the kids’ and their dog’s medical records. The family already has a housekeeper/nanny, so this person might only ever have 2 kids with them at once. Both parents work full-time, and the mother works from home, so this is a full-charge position. The ideal candidate must be able to manage the children’s homework schedule, make sure the kids are playing or studying nicely, set up playdates, and must be able to drive.
