This busy family is looking for an experienced, professional, and engaging Rota Nanny (maternity cover) with a mature approach, to work on a 7 days on/off rota.
The role is working work with one child aged 7. The Rota Nanny needs to have SEN experience, specifically with children who have ASC and ADHD. This person needs to be patient, caring and sensitive in supporting the child in the home environment and working with the child’s home-school teacher to ensure that there is consistency with approach.
The child is very bright, engaging, has a love for learning new things. The successful candidate would need to have lots of energy, be outgoing and have a great sense of humour as these are all qualities that the child has and enjoys in their nanny. This role is as maternity cover for the nanny who has been working with the child for 2.5 years and a new SEN rota nanny was recently appointed to work alongside the child and the original nanny. Both of these nannies are experienced in caring for children with SEN and it is important that you are happy to keep the consistency in terms of approach – this is very important for the child particularly at this time of change for him. You will need to have a firm but fair approach, who is able to maintain clear boundaries as this is what the child thrives on.
Someone who has experience of working in a rota position previously would be advantageous but not essential. This is a fully staffed household so the main focus is on caring for the child while they are at home, during school hours you will be expected to keep up with administration duties and planning for evenings, weekends and holidays when the child will be at home.
You need to be happy to travel as there is travel both to Europe and internationally during the school holidays.
The family do have dogs.
A car driver is not required.
