Family in Sherman Oaks, California, is seeking two dedicated and experienced rotational nannies to care for their two young children: a 3-month-old boy and a 7-month-old girl. This position is ideally live-in, with accommodations available in a comfortable pool house, though live-out candidates will also be considered. The role is long-term, Mon-Thurs rotating with a Fri-Sun live-in, with an anticipated start date in late October or early November 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and nurturing care for both children, ensuring their safety, health, and overall well-being.
Engage in age-appropriate activities to stimulate the children’s development, including reading, playtime, and interactive learning.
Maintain a consistent daily routine, including feeding, napping, and bedtime.
Support the mother, a stay-at-home mom, in managing the household and children’s needs.
Assist with light housekeeping related to the children, such as tidying their play areas and doing their laundry.
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Monitor the boy’s specific needs, as he was born two months premature, ensuring his continued growth and development.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a nanny, especially with infants and toddlers.
Knowledge of early childhood development and the ability to create a nurturing environment.
A patient, loving, and proactive approach to childcare.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the parents.
Flexibility to work 40-50 hours per week, with some weekend and evening availability if needed.
A valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.
