Private family in Massachusetts seeks a skilled, dedicated, experienced Nanny / Family Assistant to care for their two school aged children, one of whom has special needs. This position is a live out, Monday – Friday schedule, 10am – 7pm, with the flexibility to work additional hours as needed. The candidate should have a strong background working with children with special needs. The ideal candidate must be good at working with multiple children at once and able to get the children to interact and be involved in everyday activities. Aside from providing childcare, the ideal candidate would also be responsible for calendar management, booking appointment, running errands, and project management within the home.

Responsibilities
Assisting in the daily care, nurturing, and supervision of 2 school-aged children

Able to create and plan educational and recreational activities that support childhood development

Must strive to create a supportive & stable environment for the children

Manage and oversee children’s tutoring and therapy regimens

Basic family style cooking; involving the children in the cooking, meal preparation process

Coordinating daily activities and supervising transportation to and from all engagements (playdates, appointments, classes, activities, etc.)

Assist in maintaining structure and consistency for the children
Requirements
Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal

Excellent references required from both current and previous employers

Minimum 3 – 5 + years of related professional work experience

Master’s degree from an accredited US college/university with current BCBA or ABA Certifications OR equivalent relevant experience A MAJOR PLUS

Background in special education or as a behaviorist specialist is a MAJOR PLUS

Previous experience working with children with special needs is REQUIRED

Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well

Polished, poised and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times

Comfortable and willing to work in a home with pets; family has dogs

Cooking skills; able and willing to prepare basic healthy family-style meals for the children

Valid Driver’s License; confident driver with a clean driving record is REQUIRED

Legally able to work in the United States
