We are seeking a warm, responsible, and engaging Nanny / Mentor to care for two tween girls, ages almost 12 and almost 14. This role is designed for someone who can act as a positive life mentor and big sister, helping the girls grow into confident, respectful, and independent individuals. Both girls are grounded, humble, and get along well, and we’re looking for someone who will guide them with high expectations and strong life values.

In this role, you will focus on mentoring, logistics, and life skills, ensuring the girls stay organized and prepared while helping them navigate their tween years. You’ll take on a trusted role in their lives, fostering a close bond through heart-to-heart talks, teaching them how to handle responsibilities, and preparing them for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Mentorship: Serve as a life mentor and buddy, supporting the girls’ personal growth and helping them mature into well-rounded individuals. Guide them through life lessons, encourage open communication, and act as a positive role model with high standards.
Daily Logistics & Support: Assist with daily activities, school prep, and homework. Ensure they are organized and ready for school and their extracurricular activities. Help pack for trips and manage their schedules.
Driving: Safely drive the girls to and from school, activities, appointments, and social engagements using the family’s car. A clean driving record is required.
Food Prep & Snacks: Prepare meals and snacks for the girls, ensuring they have nutritious options throughout the day.
Travel with the Family: Travel with the family as needed, including extended trips.
Household Support: Assist with light household duties related to the girls, including packing, unpacking, and managing their daily logistics. Helping care for the family dog by letting him out or taking him for walks.
Weekend & Overnight Care: Work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) as part of the rotating schedule. Occasionally provide overnight care when the parents are out of town, which occurs a few times a year.
Teamwork: Work alongside another nanny to split tasks, especially during the week and when traveling. You will both “divide and conquer” tasks such as pickups and activity prep to ensure smooth operations.

Schedule:

Regular hours: Monday-Friday from 1:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Weekends: Split time or alternate with the other nanny as needed.
Travel: Overnight and extended travel will be required, including a 6-week summer trip. Both nannies will go on long trips.

Qualifications:

Experience working with tweens in a nanny, mentor, or similar role, especially in a high-expectation environment.
Ability to mentor and guide children in life skills, personal development, and responsibilities.
Travel experience with previous families, including extended travel.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex schedules and logistics.
A nurturing, energetic, and patient personality with a genuine passion for working with children.
Ability to work weekends and travel as needed.
Comfortable assisting with household pets, especially caring for the family dog.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate: $35-$45/hour (plus overtime).
Full benefits package, including PTO (paid time off).
Family car provided for driving the children.
Overtime pay for extended hours and travel.
