Palisades, NY (25 minutes from NYC) – Highly educated Rotational Nanny (7 Days On / 7 Days Off)
is sought to care for two young children—a 5-year-old and a 3-year-old. The family values a nanny who can intellectually engage with their bright and curious 5-year-old, while supporting the 3-year-old’s developmental needs, including speech delay. The role involves active involvement, educational engagement, and willingness to participate in physical activities like swimming, skiing, and camping.
Responsibilities:
Childcare:Prepare children for school: 7 a.m. start time.
Oversee school drop-offs and pick-ups for the 5-year-old (8 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) and 3-year-old (9 a.m.–1 p.m. & 3 p.m – 6 p.m)
Provide educational activities, intellectual stimulation, and emotional support for the 5-year-old.
Assist the 3-year-old with speech development and ensure adherence to her routine.
Activity Planning:Plan and participate in active outings, playtime, and enriching experiences such as swimming, skiing, and other family-oriented activities.
Support weekend and summer travel, ensuring smooth transitions for the children.
Household Support:Help with light tidying and organizational tasks during school hours (7 a.m.–1 p.m.).
Coordinate with the family to prepare for school activities, and other engagements.
Qualifications:
Strong background in early childhood education, with experience supporting advanced learning and speech development.
Active and energetic personality; enjoys outdoor activities and physical engagement with children.
Flexibility to adapt to a rotational schedule and frequent weekend travel.
Excellent communication skills, capable of building a strong relationship with a bright and sensitive 5-year-old.
Valid driver’s license; comfortable navigating school drop-offs and activities.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $100,000 annually
Full benefits package, including PTO and vacation time.
No live-in requirement; occasional overnight stays as needed.
