Chicago, IL – Family in Orland Park is seeking a flexible, responsible, and loving nanny to care for their two children, a 4-year-old boy and an almost 12-year-old girl. The ideal candidate will be active, a self-starter, and able to take initiative in planning outings and activities for the children. Responsibilities include children’s laundry (with occasional light folding for the family), kitchen tidying and dishwashing, home organization, meal prep for the children, and handling grocery/Target pick-ups and returns. It’s a huge bonus if the nanny enjoys cooking for the family.
The schedule changes throughout the year depending on the parents’ travel schedules. From January to May, both parents travel regularly for business, requiring 2-3 overnights per week, with hours beginning after school on Mondays. June to August follows regular business hours, 8:00am-4:00pm, as the children are home for the summer. From August to January, the schedule shifts to 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Both children start school at 8:30am, with the eldest taking the bus and the youngest dismissing at 1:50pm. The position guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, with occasional opportunities for additional hours, including weekends. The family would love for the nanny to travel with them 2-3 times per year, both domestically and internationally, and a valid passport is required. A car is provided for use on the job.
The compensation package ranges from $75K to $80K annually, along with a $200/month healthcare stipend.
