A family on the Upper West Side is seeking a full-time, live-in nanny to join their household. This role primarily involves caring for two active children, aged 7 and 5. The family has another nanny who works primarily with their youngest who is 2 years old. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with school drop-off at 8 AM and pick-up between 3-4 PM, followed by evening care until bedtime, no later than 8 PM. The parents usually handle putting the children to bed. During school hours, responsibilities include light housekeeping related to the children, with plenty of downtime. The nanny should feel comfortable working alongside their other nanny as well as their housekeeper.
Initially, the position will be live-out for the first few weeks to allow everyone to feel comfortable, transitioning to live-in thereafter. The nanny will have a large private bedroom, which also doubles as a playroom for the children, separated by a room divider. The bathroom is spacious and shared only with the housekeeper. The family is looking for a long-term commitment, ideally from someone with at least a decade of experience.
While driving is a plus, particularly for trips to New Jersey, it is not a requirement. Cooking for the children is expected, and the nanny should be able to live in with the family during the summer months at the Jersey Shore, where a private bedroom will be provided. The role also requires the ability to travel both domestically and internationally with the family. This position starts ASAP.
Pay: $1200/week net. On books.
