Nanny needed for busy family with 3 school-aged kids (ages 12, 11, 7) in Middleburg area.
The Ideal Candidate would be a dependable person who loves working with kids and has excellent communication and organizational skills. Would be available M-F with one overnight stay mid-week, per week to accomodate parents’ work travel. Hours are flexible for the right candidate but after school care of children and driving to activities is required. Family car is provided. Must have excellent driving record.
General duties during the day would include organizational projects in the home, light cleaning and tidying up (cleaning service comes 1x per week for deep cleaning), family laundry, list making and grocery/family shopping and errands, making school lunches for kids, meal prep for dinner, picking up kids from school and driving them to appointments/activities. Assist the Mom with managing kids schedules, including making appointments and playdates when needed, researching lessons, camps and activities and travel to and from all activities. Family has a second home an hour away and spend their summers there, so candidate needs to be available to work with family on summer schedule at second home.
This position would ideally be long-term, family’s prior nanny was with them for almost 9 years before making a career change. Creating a positive, mutually beneficial relationship with household staff is very important to them.
