We are seeking a dedicated and Montessori-Certified tutor for two boys in Miami, FL. The primary focus of this position is to engage, educate, and inspire them using the Montessori method.
The family is looking for someone who can come for a few hours a week, either on one (or more) weekday afternoons, or one (or more) weekend days. The family is highly flexible on days, how many hours, and other session arrangements, prioritizing the importance of finding the right fit for their children.
Responsibilities:
Montessori Education: Implement and tailor Montessori principles to create a stimulating and child-centered learning environment.
Engagement: Foster a love for learning by creating age-appropriate and engaging activities that align with Montessori philosophy.
Flexibility: Adapt teaching strategies to the unique needs and interests of each child, recognizing and capitalizing on teachable moments.
Certifications and References: Hold Montessori certifications and provide references that speak to your teaching abilities and effectiveness in implementing Montessori principles.
Collaboration: Work closely with parents to ensure alignment between home and educational practices, fostering a holistic and consistent learning experience.
Location and Schedule: Conduct sessions in the family’s home in Miami, FL. The hours are flexible, and scheduling can be adjusted to accommodate both the tutor and the family.
Requirements:
Montessori certifications and a strong background in Montessori education.
Proven experience in engaging and educating children using Montessori principles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration with both children and parents.
Ability to teach basic cooking and math using Montessori methods.
