HOUSTON, TX (NATIONWIDE SEARCH; LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED)-Wonderful family in Piney Point seeks a FULL-TIME NANNY/GOVERNESS for their two girls, ages 16-month and 3 years. Hours are ideally from 8am-5pm (plus an offsite lunch break) Monday-Friday, with the flexibility to work 1 weekend per month to relieve the weekend nanny (will have time off during the weekday when working weekends). The schedule can be somewhat flexible for 8 hours/day. They currently have two support nannies who work together to provide 24/7 coverage and are looking to add a college-educated “head” nanny/governess to teach the children to be self-sufficient, focusing on manners, good behavior, and enforcing rules/discipline. This person would continue to work alongside the two current caregivers. They plan to hire a nighttime nanny down the road as well. Must be a team player and be drama free! Open to all US candidates; however, local candidates are preferred. Preference for the nanny to live out, but they are open to a live-in nanny for the right fit.
Parents seek an educated, well-trained, and experienced nanny with a background in education/child development. This person will be tasked with potty training the girls, teaching them to dress themselves, be independent for their age, etc. They seek a nanny who is calm and understands how to navigate tantrums when they occur. Must also be able to follow directions, plan out meals and activities, grocery shop for children’s meals/snacks, and organized their bedrooms, playrooms, toys. Must be able to handle two children alone during work time, as well as remain composed during stressful moments. Must be able to communicate with parents and other staff in the house. Must be able to perform CPR, swim, and be tech savvy (computers, electronics, etc.).
The eldest is in private from school 8am-2:20pm Monday-Friday. Nanny will need to help get her to and from school, as well as help her with her schoolwork and educational activities. A family car is provided while on the job. She has extracurricular activities such as dance, or a field trip after school. She can be a picky eater and has digestive issues. Thus, she is having trouble with potty training. Mom is looking to hire a dietitian that she would look for the nanny to work with to help enforce healthy, balanced eating and implement potty training. She attends a strict, structured school and needs help learning how to follow directions. Thus, they would look to the nanny to enforce rules, and teach manners, positive behavior, and discipline when needed. Must be able to help her through toddler meltdowns!
The youngest is home all day. The primary focus is on her while her older sister is in school. The family is looking for a nanny to work with both girls on education, manners/behavior, potty training, and teaching them to be self-sufficient. Someone who sets and holds firm boundaries. They have a housekeeper, so no heavy cleaning other than picking up after the children. Must be vaccinated for COVID.
Pay is $20-35/hour depending on experience. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays and vacation. Start date is ASAP!
