Our client is looking for a professional career Nanny to join their family in Goring on Thames, Reading. This will be a sole charge position looking after their 5 year old and 3 year old boys. Their 5 year old is in school, the 3 year old is current going to nursery in the morning but will be starting school next year – as there would be downtime during the day, mum is now looking for a Nanny who will be able to take on some extra duties – either do some more cooking for the family or some House Management (no laundry or cleaning) – more dealing with and arranging tradesmen, ordering things that are needed for the home, oversee the Housekeeper – ensure the smooth running of the home. As mum and dad both work busy jobs so there will be some overnight proxy parenting and babysitting when mum has to travel for work (paid extra). Mum would also like the Nanny to travel with the family on their overseas holidays (4 trips per year – longest up to 3 weeks). Mum is really looking for someone who will work as a team, help out where needed. The family are very relaxed but have rules – mum really wans someone who communicate well with mum and dad and has a muck in attitude.
Mum is happy for the right candidate to start earlier in May or June.
Salary: Live in – £40,000 to £50,000 gross per annum, Live out – £62,400 to £71,760 gross per annum
Accommodation: Separate self contained 2 bedroom flat (lovely views of the 14 acre property)
General duties:
Getting the children up and ready in the morning
School drop
Preparing meals for the children
All housekeeping for the children
Take to activities/clubs
Fun and educational activities
Helping the children to hit their milestones
Proxy parenting/babysitting
Bath and bed time
Candidate requirements:
Experience with children of similar age
A career nanny with proven longevity with previous families
Someone friendly, loving who will promote good manners
Someone who can work well as a team with mum and dad (family also have a PA and Housekeeper)
Happy to travel with the family abroad
Someone responsible and reliable
Childcare degree or equivalent
Someone looking to be with a family for many years
Driving licence – Essential – car will be provided
