Job Description: Governess/Nanny for UHNWI Household with Travel Experience
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Governess/Nanny to join a prestigious UHNWI household. The Governess/Nanny will be responsible for providing exceptional childcare and educational support to the children of the household while ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working with high-profile families, possess strong educational qualifications, be capable of traveling with the principal and the children and managing pick-up and drop-off from school, as well as facilitating playtime activities.
Language: English Must have and preferred 2nd language in Mandarin, Arabic, German, Italian, Spanish.
Additional Requirement: Norland or equivalent Qualified
Responsibilities:
Childcare and Education:
· Provide high-quality care and supervision to the children of the household, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
· Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of the children.
· Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, incorporating learning through play, reading, and other engaging methods.
· Assist with homework, assignments, and projects, providing guidance and support as needed.
· Foster positive values, manners, and social skills in the children, promoting their personal growth and development.
Traveling with the Principal and Children:
· Accompany the principal and the children on domestic and international trips, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
· Prepare and pack necessary supplies, including clothing, toys, and educational materials for the children.
· Provide on-the-go support during travel, including supervising the children, managing their schedules, and attending to their needs.
Personal Development and Enrichment:
· Organize and facilitate enrichment activities, such as sports, arts, music, and language lessons, based on the children’s interests and talents.
· Arrange and coordinate educational outings, cultural experiences, and field trips to enhance the children’s knowledge and exposure.
· Encourage a love for learning, curiosity, and a growth mindset among the children.
· Foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through engaging and stimulating activities.
Running Errands and Household Assistance:
· Assist with running errands, such as shopping for children’s supplies, picking up prescriptions, and managing household-related tasks with assistance.
· Coordinate and manage appointments for the children, including medical check-ups, extracurricular activities, and playdates.
· Assist with light household duties related to the children, such as organizing their belongings and maintaining cleanliness in their areas.
(We have a team of household staff who can provide assistance on the aforementioned tasks like Nannies, maids, drivers etc.)
School Drop-off and Pick-up:
· Escorting the children to and from school, ensuring punctuality and adherence to school policies.
· Assist with preparing the children for school, including ensuring they have necessary supplies and uniforms.
· Coordinate with school staff regarding pick-up and drop-off procedures and any specific requirements.
Playtime Facilitation:
· Create and facilitate engaging and developmentally appropriate playtime activities for the children.
· Encourage active play, social interactions, and imaginative play to support their cognitive and social development.
· Organize playdates and supervise playtime with other children as appropriate.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a Governess, highly qualified nanny, or in a similar role, preferably within a UHNWI household or with high-profile families.
· Strong educational background and knowledge of age-appropriate educational methods and practices.
· Experience in providing comprehensive childcare, including infant care, early childhood development, and school-age children.
· Ability to travel and adapt to changing schedules and environments.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with children, parents, and staff members at all levels.
· Passion for education and child development, with the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
· Experience in running errands and providing household assistance.
· Knowledge and experience in newborn care. (optional)
· Proven ability to arrange and coordinate parties and events.
· Familiarity with school drop-off and pick-up procedures.
· Ability to facilitate engaging playtime activities.
· Patience, adaptability, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
· Valid first aid and CPR certifications. ++
