A family in Chelsea, NY seeks to hire an experienced live-in Nanny to assist with the care of 2 children, ages: 2 and 4 years old. The ideal candidate will be local to NYC, with knowledge of the Chelsea and West Village area. Must be able to work a rotational schedule of 7 days live-in and 7 days off. A loving, vibrant, and calming personality would be most ideal for this family. Must be a team player and eager to work with children. Someone with strong childcare and strong education background with excellent references is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the children’s schedules and day-to-day
Create fun engaging activities, and art projects
Maintain a constant line of communication with parents
Always ensuring the safety of the children
Accompany children to appointments and playdates
Taking a child for a stroller ride or walks as appropriate
Plan outdoor activities with children (when weather appropriate)
Packing and unpacking children’s belongings as needed when traveling
Organizing and maintaining bedrooms by making the bed, keeping the area clean and neat with toys organized and tidy.
Assist with laundry and light housekeeping of children’s rooms and play areas
Assist with meals, and snacks for the children
Traveling with family if requested (Availability to travel with family on vacations)
Summers are spent in Long Island (must be able to provide same support there)
Must be able to drive children while traveling
Must be a confident Swimmer
Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off (rotation). Live-in only during working days.
Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000
