This is a fabulous opportunity to live for a few years in the Caribbean. The family has a beautiful home with beautiful views. Both parents work and their nanny will be in charge of the children’s daily routine and helping with school work and reading (they are very young so this is really simple) Looking for a nanny who is warm and nurturing, but can set boundaries and earns the children’s respect by being kind, fun and loving and strict when needed.
Salary $70-75,000 (net as no tax in BVI)
Looking after the three children, aged 6.5y, 4 y and 2.5y from Sunday to Thursday. 7am til 7pm. The parents are around on Sunday but the other days it is sole care.
Get the children up and breakfasted, drive all 3 children to school 15 mins away.
Children are at school from 8.15am til 3.15pm
During this time, tidy their rooms, do the children’s laundry, prepare the food ready for the children’s after school snack and dinner. Also grocery shopping for the children. After school the children may have an activity which they need to be driven to.
Plenty of downtime during the day as the children are out of the home most of the day.
The family has a housekeeper/cleaner who comes 3 days per week.
A key requirement of the nanny-educator is to speak to the children in fluent English (this is the language they speak anyway). You will also need to be able to help them with their homework and generally encourage their learning, development and well-being. They are looking for a nanny who has previous experience with helping children with homework, with a proven interest in supporting children’s development, academically, socially, physically and emotionally.
Confident driver is also required. There are no big roads on the island though. You can use the car provided in your free time too.
The family spends 2 months of the summer in Canada and a few weeks each year in USA, including New York. You will need to accompany them, therefore you will need to show evidence that all your vaccinations (including covid) are up to date. Everyone in the family, including the 2.5 year old are vaccinated against covid. Also a valid US, UK or EU passport is needed.
The family will initially interview by zoom and then flight out prospective nannies to the caribbean (BVI) for a 1 week trial.
