There is no magic recipe to get started a High-Profile or ROTA Nanny.
To get your first nanny job within the HNW/UHNW world, you need to network with the right people, and you need to be in the right place at the right time.
When you don’t have any contact, it’s difficult, it can take time, and the truth is that you may never even get there.
To achieve this, you must have the right motivations (i.e. not only be interested in money). It also takes patience and perseverance.
If you decide to go into high-profile / ROTA nannying just because you accidentally discovered that it’s lucrative, it’s going to be hard to break into that world.
If you are truly committed to working with children, for example if you are that person that was the go-to baby sitter when you were growing up, if you worked as a camp counselor and nannied through college, if you have experience in a nursery or as a teaching assistant etc… it will be much easier to get started.
To land the best positions, you often have to start with less attractive positions to build your experience and reputation. It’s very rare to get a well-paid Nanny position without the right experience.
It is sometimes easier to break into the high-profile Nanny profession with a temporary or part-time position.
