A family based in Redwood City, California is seeking an experienced Arabic speaking nanny to care for their baby boy, who will be 6 months old when the position begins in September. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurturing and engaging childcare professional who is passionate about infant development and bilingual language exposure. The father, who is originally from Egypt and frequently travels for work, is keen for his son to develop a strong connection to the Arabic language and culture from an early age, so the nanny will be encouraged to communicate with the baby in Arabic throughout the day.
Responsibilities include all aspects of the baby’s care, maintaining a consistent routine, supporting developmental milestones, planning age-appropriate activities, preparing bottles and meals as the child progresses through weaning, and ensuring the nursery, play areas, and baby-related items remain clean and organised. The mother works from home from a dedicated office on a separate floor, allowing the nanny to manage the day independently while maintaining open communication with the family. The ideal candidate will have previous infant experience, a warm and proactive approach, and a genuine interest in supporting early childhood development.
The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Compensation is $38–$40 per hour, depending on experience.
