Second-time parents in McLean, VA are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Newborn Care Specialist to provide around-the-clock support during the early weeks with their baby. The family is looking for an experienced professional who has a strong understanding of newborn sleep, feeding, and early development, and who can offer practical guidance while helping the parents establish healthy routines. The ideal candidate is confident, nurturing, and able to provide calm, attentive care while respecting the family’s parenting style and preferences. Responsibilities include comprehensive newborn care, supporting feeding routines, assisting with sleep patterns, soothing techniques, diapering, monitoring the baby’s well-being, and providing reassurance to the parents during this important transition. Experience with breastfeeding support is highly desirable. This is a temporary 6-8 week position beginning at the end of August, providing 24/7 newborn care support. The family is offering $35+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Although live-in accommodation will be provided, this position is not open to relocation candidates. Only applicants currently based in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, or Virginia) will be considered.
