$25/hour — Full-Time Live-In Nanny on Private Estate in Bermuda (High Standards, Loving Family, Long-Term Role)

Location:

Wealthy foreign country (e.g. Bermuda, Luxembourg, Monte Carlo etc.) with a vibrant community. Exact location shared early in the application process.

References:

Please Read First — PREVIOUS EMPLOYER REFERENCES ARE RIGOROUS. We conduct very thorough reference checks.

This is our primary mode of evaluation. We will directly ask past employers:

“Did your children genuinely like her?”
“Did she truly love the kids, or was it just a job?”
If strong reference checks make you uncomfortable, this role is not a fit.

About the Role:

We are a warm, loving household with three children seeking a full-time, live-in nanny who truly loves children and takes real ownership. This role is about presence and connection. We are looking for someone who plays with the kids, talks with them, guides them, and treats them as her own. The right person brings energy, warmth, and consistency, and naturally becomes someone the children feel safe and happy with.

Our Values:

Our home is guided by the below. Anyone joining our household must genuinely live these values: Kindness, Honesty, Ownership, Scrappiness, Rigor

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare

Actively engage with the children through play, conversation, and daily routines
Help with homework and ensure responsibilities are completed
No screens for children
Reduce sugar and unhealthy foods
Ensure children clean up after themselves (we want kids to learn responsibility)
Household Support

Keep the home tidy and organized
Prepare simple meals when ingredients are provided
Run local errands (driving, groceries, pickups/drop-offs)
Help with light household tasks such as organizing or moving items

Required Criteria (Please Apply Only If You Meet These)

Age 30 or older
Two or fewer jobs in the past five years
Able to drive (don’t need to be a good driver – confidence can be built over time)
Willing to obtain a local driving license after arrival (driving license not required to apply, but preferred)

Contract & Commitment

Contract term: 4 years
You may leave, resign, or return home at any time if you’d like — flexibility and honesty matter to us
But we are looking for someone open to a long-term relationship, not short-term hopping

Living Arrangement & Compensation

Pay: $23/hour (increases every year)
Accommodation: Private pool house on a family estate. Water and electricity provided
Other: Personal expenses (phone, food, personal travel, trips home) are the nanny’s responsibility
Travel: Initial flight to the country is covered. Any personal travel or vacations are the nanny’s responsibility

Compensation Overview:

Hourly Compensation Rate: $25.00 USD/hour

Expected Schedule: Approximately 55 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Working Weeks: Approximately 48 weeks per year, allowing for 4 weeks of vacation

Total Annual Compensation: Approximately $66,000 USD

Certain living and employment-related expenses will be paid directly by the employer on the nanny’s behalf and deducted from the total annual compensation above, including:

Housing: Approximately $1,500/month, or $18,000/year
Health Insurance: Approximately $5,100/year
Social Insurance: Approximately $3,400/year
Payroll Taxes: Approximately $2,000/year
Total Employer-Paid Expenses Deducted: Approximately $28,600/year

After these employer-paid expenses are deducted from the total annual compensation, the nanny is expected to receive approximately $37,400 USD per year in cash compensation.

Summary:

Total Annual Compensation: ~$66,000
Less Employer-Paid Housing & Employment Expenses: ~$28,600
Estimated Cash Compensation to Nanny: ~$37,400/year

Please note: Housing, health insurance, social insurance, and payroll taxes are paid by the employer on the nanny’s behalf but are included within, and deducted from, the total compensation amount. They are not additional benefits on top of the $66,000 annual compensation.
