A family in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced and confident Newborn Care Specialist or Postpartum Doula to provide dedicated overnight care for their newborn, with an immediate start. The family is looking for a knowledgeable professional who can offer expert newborn support while helping the parents rest during the early weeks at home. The ideal candidate has extensive newborn experience and is confident supporting overnight feedings, establishing healthy sleep foundations, using effective soothing techniques, and monitoring the baby’s overall well-being throughout the night. Responsibilities include all aspects of overnight newborn care, maintaining a safe sleep environment, keeping accurate notes on feedings and sleep when needed, and providing reassurance and practical guidance to the family. This position requires 8-hour overnight shifts, 7 nights per week, for a minimum of four weeks, beginning as soon as possible.
