San Diego, CA – Family in La Jolla is seeking a professional French-speaking Nanny to care for their three children, aged 5, 4, and 1, with a particular focus on immersing the children in the French language through daily interaction, play, and routine communication.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with multiple children of similar ages, a passion for early childhood development, and a strong ability to balance educational engagement with nurturing care.
Key Responsibilities
– Creating a French-speaking environment to support natural language acquisition and cultural exposure
– Providing full care for the children during non-school hours, including meal supervision, playtime, outings, and bedtime routines
– Organising age-appropriate educational and recreational activities (e.g. swimming, soccer, horse riding)
– Supporting morning routines (wake-up and school preparation) and afternoon/evening care
– Offering occasional evening coverage when parents have engagements (monitoring while children sleep)
– Accompanying the family on domestic and international travel (several trips per year
– Light child-related housekeeping (tidying toys, cleaning up after meals, managing children’s laundry and belongings)
– Flexibility to assist with other minor tasks if mutually agreed, though core focus remains on childcare and French immersion
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7 am to 7 pm
Salary up to $40 per hour
