A family in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Nanny to care for four children ranging in age from newborn to six years old. Their preference is for a professional nanny with a strong background in early childhood development, with a particular preference for candidates who have experience in teaching or education. The ideal candidate will be warm, proactive, and knowledgeable, with the ability to support developmental milestones while creating a structured, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities include planning and leading age-appropriate educational activities, supporting early learning and developmental progress, and organizing enriching outings that encourage curiosity and growth. The nanny will also help establish a consistent daily rhythm that balances structure and fun. Additional duties include light household support such as tidying, assisting with dishes, opening packages, organizing household projects, grocery shopping, and light meal preparation. The role also involves occasional overnights, several domestic travel trips per year, and close collaboration with a stay-at-home mother and additional nannies within a team-oriented household.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, averaging 50 hours per week.
