American family with two boys aged 7 and 10 relocating to Rotterdam Center for 4 – 6 months from November 2024 is seeking an experienced, organized, flexible, and proactive nanny.
The schedule will vary each week, you will have set guaranteed hours; they will need help on some weekends and some proxy parenting. You will have two days off each week; the aim will be for those days to be consecutive. The family will do their best to keep you informed of schedule changes however, they will need flexibility.
Duties will include children’s laundry, making family dinners, running errands and groceries. The nanny’s day will start with getting the boys ready for school, making breakfast, and dropping them at school. You will come home, tidy up, and be off duty until the afternoon school pick-up. Afternoons will include playing with the boys, trips to the park, arranging playdates, making dinner, laundry, etc. For candidates not living locally, you must be confident getting to know the city, finding activities for the boys, and helping the family settle into the Netherlands.
The live-in accommodation will be either in the family home or in a separate house in the neighborhood If you are living in Rotterdam and have your own accommodation the family will consider a live-out nanny, however, you need to live very locally and have access to a car or bike.
