A UHNW family in West Village, New York, is seeking a highly experienced and nurturing Rota Nanny to care for their 2-year-old child. This position follows a 1-week-on, 1-week-off schedule, offering the opportunity to work in a structured yet dynamic household. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with toddlers, be proactive in planning educational and developmental activities, and have the flexibility to travel with the family when required.

Responsibilities:

– Provide full-time care for a 2-year-old child during the scheduled “on” week
– Ensure the child’s safety, well-being, and comfort at all times
– Develop and maintain a structured daily routine, incorporating meal times, naps, and activities to promote development
– Plan and organise age-appropriate educational and engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors
– Manage the child’s laundry, wardrobe, and personal items, ensuring everything is clean, organised, and ready for use
– Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child in line with family preferences and any dietary restrictions
– Work closely with the parents to ensure alignment on parenting style, discipline, and developmental milestones
– Assist with toilet training and encourage independence as the child grows
– Accompany the child to appointments, playdates, classes, and other scheduled activities
– Travel with the family as needed, ensuring the child is well cared for during trips
– Maintain open communication with the family about the child’s progress, development, and any concerns

Candidates must be/have:

– Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Nanny with toddlers in UHNW households
– Experience working in a Rota Nanny schedule is highly desirable
– Strong understanding of child development stages, especially for toddlers
– Ability to plan and engage in educational activities that promote intellectual, social, and emotional growth
– Experience with toddler care, including feeding, napping, and toilet training
– Flexibility to travel with the family domestically and internationally as needed
– Fluent in English
– CPR and First Aid certified, with an up-to-date enhanced DBS (background check)
– Legal right to work in the U.S.
– Must be able to work independently and be proactive while maintaining the highest level of discretion and professionalism

Hours:

  • 1 week on, 1 week off (Rota schedule)
    – Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during the “on” week
    – The position may require occasional travel with the family

Candidates must be able to commute easily to this location or be based locally.

Salary: Up to $130,000, depending on experience.
