Family located in Houston’s Museum District—near Rice University and Hermann Park—is seeking a nurturing, proactive, and experienced nanny. The family currently has a one-year-old daughter and is expecting their second child in late September.
They are looking for a part-time nanny for the remainder of the year, focused on caring for their toddler while a live-in newborn specialist assists with the new baby through the New Year. The position will transition to full-time in January, when the nanny will care for both children. The family is open to considering a full-time nanny starting immediately if the ideal candidate prefers full-time work.
Key Responsibilities:

Full care of a 1-year-old child: feeding, diapering, engaging in age-appropriate play, and maintaining routines

Support with newborn care as needed once the second child arrives

Manage children’s laundry and keep children’s areas clean and organized

Encourage developmental milestones and learning through play

Offer occasional support to the mother during postpartum recovery

Maintain consistent and open communication with both parents
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Prior experience with infants and toddlers

A warm, calm, and supportive demeanor

Strong understanding of early childhood development

Willingness to collaborate with the family and adapt as needs evolve

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Fluent in English; additional languages a plus

Schedule: Part-time (flexible hours) through December 2025, transitioning to Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM) starting January 2026
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
