A bilingual family with homes in Woodbury, Connecticut (Litchfield County) and New York City is seeking an experienced Greek-speaking live-in nanny to care for their preschool-aged son, who attends Pre-K. The family is committed to raising their son in both Greek and English and is looking for someone who can naturally incorporate the Greek language into everyday routines, conversations, play, and learning, helping him develop confidence and fluency in both languages.
The successful candidate will provide attentive, child-focused care while planning engaging educational activities that inspire creativity, curiosity, and independence. Responsibilities include preparing healthy meals and snacks, supporting school routines and developmental milestones, assisting with the child’s laundry, and keeping his bedroom, toys, clothing, and play areas clean and organised.
The family primarily resides in Woodbury, Connecticut, spending approximately two weekends per month in their New York City apartment, and the nanny will accompany them between both homes. Occasional domestic and international travel is also required.
This is a live-in position with accommodation provided, working Monday to Friday with 40 guaranteed hours per week, offering $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements:
Native or fluent Greek and English speaker.
Previous experience working as a nanny with preschool-aged children.
Passion for bilingual language development and early childhood education.
Confident planning engaging, age-appropriate educational activities.
Strong understanding of preschool developmental milestones.
Happy to prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child.
Willing to manage child-related duties, including laundry and organisation of the child’s belongings.
Flexible to travel domestically and internationally with the family.
Comfortable splitting time between Woodbury, CT and New York City.
