A family based in Wimbledon is seeking a warm, engaging Japanese-speaking nanny to care for their 1-year-old child. They’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with toddlers and understands how important these early years are for language, development, and confidence. This is a hands-on role involving all nanny duties, including maintaining consistent routines, preparing healthy meals, and supporting early development through interactive play and daily activities. The family would love someone who naturally incorporates Japanese language exposure throughout the day through conversation, books, songs, and play. Outdoor outings, trips to the park, and age-appropriate educational activities will be an important part of the role, alongside light child-related housekeeping to help keep the child’s spaces organised and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, nurturing care for a 1-year-old child
Speak Japanese with the child throughout the day to encourage language development
Plan interactive play, sensory activities, and educational experiences
Take the child on outings including parks, walks, and local activities
Maintain consistent routines for meals, naps, and playtime
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child
Support developmental milestones through age-appropriate learning and play
Handle light child-related housekeeping and organisation
Keep nursery and play areas tidy and well maintained
Create a safe, calm, and engaging environment for the child
