The successful nanny will be a specialist working in the family’s home, responsible for all tasks related to care of their 3 female children, 2.5, 6 and 8. The nanny will serve as a loving, nurturing, and trustworthy companion to children. The nanny is solely responsible for the children’s possessions, room/s, and other children’s areas.
The nanny when available, will also assist in the daily functions of the homes common areas that would otherwise be used by the children.
Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children under the guidelines set forth by the parents.
Always supervise the children’s activities.
Dress the children when and where appropriate.
Place the children down for naps and bedtime when and where appropriate.
Bathe the children when and where appropriate.
Perform housework related to childcare, including washing the children’s clothes, cleaning up after meals; maintain play areas to include rotating toys.
Teach the children good social manners in accordance with family style and parental guidance.
Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors.
Plan and lead educational activities including reading, writing, counting and arts and crafts with the children, including the supervision of homework provided by school.
Discipline the children, when necessary, under the guidance and direction of the Parents.
Drive the children to and from activities, school, and any other events as directed by the parents.
Administer medicine to the children under the guidance of a medical professional and the parents as deemed appropriate.
Daily work schedule is on average 10:30am to 6:30pm on weekdays or as agreed with the Client.
Summer travel with the Client (housing provided) is expected.
24/7 on call mentality and travel availability is a must and performed as agreed with the Client with sufficient notice given.
Paid time off and other employment agreement concerns are to be directed to the Client.
Reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses are generally made immediately in exchange for a receipt.
Reimbursement is provided for car-related expenses for work related functions and children transport.
Daily communication with the Clients is essential to daily operations. Communication and teamwork with the Clients is so important to the success of daily duties and strong esprit de corps within the family support team. The Client can act as a point of communication for anything related to the home and help needed to perform any responsibilities. Overall, the primary focus is the children and family needs as outlined by the Client.
