ROTA Nanny – Washington, DC
A distinguished family in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced and highly educated ROTA Nanny to join their fully staffed household team. This rotational nanny position (7 days on / 7 days off) offers the opportunity to provide loving, developmentally focused care for two young children in a structured, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is professional, discreet, and deeply knowledgeable about early childhood development, with the ability to foster emotional, physical, and intellectual growth through thoughtful engagement and routine. Live-in accommodation is provided while on duty.
Key responsibilities include delivering attentive, child-centered care; planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities that inspire creativity and curiosity; coordinating daily routines including meals, naps, outings, and enrichment; and tracking developmental milestones with regular parent communication. The nanny will travel domestically and internationally as required and maintain tidy, organized children’s spaces, including bedrooms and play areas. Collaboration with other household staff and the rotational counterpart is essential to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Candidates must hold a US passport, have a minimum of five years of professional nanny experience (ideally in a ROTA role), and preferably possess a background in early childhood education, child development, psychology, or a related field. Experience in high-profile or fully staffed households is highly valued. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.
Compensation is $120,000+ plus benefits.
