A family in Venice, CA is seeking a thoughtful and experienced Montessori-inspired Nanny to care for their 1-year-old son. This role goes beyond basic supervision; the ideal candidate will have an educational background in early childhood with Montessori training and a deep understanding of child development.
The family is looking for someone who can support their child’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth through intentional, play-based activities while incorporating learning naturally into daily routines. The ideal nanny is nurturing, patient, and confident in guiding a young child as he explores and navigates new experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive, Montessori-inspired care for a 1-year-old
Support the child’s emotional, social, and cognitive development through play-based learning
Read aloud and engage in developmentally appropriate activities
Incorporate learning opportunities naturally into daily routines
Offer gentle guidance and encouragement as the child explores new experiences
Assist with and supervise one meal (lunch) around midday
Facilitate outdoor play and playground visits when appropriate
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Candidate Requirements
Educational background in early childhood development
Montessori training or experience highly preferred
Experience caring for toddlers (1–2 years old)
Passionate about intentional, play-based learning
Patient, nurturing, and confident with young children
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Based in or near Venice, CA, available part-time during weekdays
