A family based on the Upper East Side, NY is seeking a ROTA nanny to care for their two young children within a fully staffed household. This is a great opportunity for a professional, experienced nanny who enjoys working in a team environment and is confident providing structured, developmentally focused care. The family is looking for someone calm, organised, and genuinely engaged in supporting children’s daily routines and overall growth.
This role follows a rota schedule, with the nanny residing in the home during working periods and returning to their own residence during time off. The family splits time between New York City and the Hamptons, with regular domestic and international travel, including Miami. This is not a fly-in/fly-out position, so candidates must be based locally in NYC.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care in a calm and engaging environment
- Managing daily routines, schedules, and age-appropriate activities
- Overseeing all aspects of the children’s personal care and belongings
- Handling children’s laundry, wardrobe management, and organisation
- Maintaining bedrooms, closets, and play areas to a high standard
- Implementing toy rotation systems to support structure and organisation
- Working closely and collaboratively with parents and co-nanny in a team setting
- Supporting children during travel and maintaining routines on the go
The position is based primarily on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, with seasonal time in the Hamptons, and includes domestic and international travel. Compensation is $35–$45 per hour DOE.
