A family on the Upper East Side, New York City is seeking an experienced full-time nanny with a strong understanding of early childhood development, to care for their two daughters, aged 5 and 3. The family is looking for someone who enjoys planning enriching activities, encouraging learning through play, and creating a nurturing environment where both children can continue to grow in confidence and independence.
The nanny will be responsible for all aspects of the children’s daily care, including planning age-appropriate educational activities, preparing healthy meals and snacks, and driving the children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments. Additional responsibilities include managing the children’s laundry, keeping their bedrooms and play areas organised, and assisting with light child-related housekeeping. A full-time housekeeper is employed, allowing the nanny to focus primarily on childcare and the children’s development. A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record is essential for this role.
The position is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. Hourly rate: $35–$40, depending on experience.
