Wonderful family who are based in Toronto and Dubai are looking for a brilliant Multi Lingual Governor who will home school their 6 year old son. This international family are presently based in Toronto but will be moving in the coming months to Dubai and travelling extensively in the interim. The role is either based in Dubai and occasionally travel to Toronto or vice versa. The little one has been attending School in Malaysia but the family will be travelling extensively and so they are looking to engage a governor who will be able to take on all the educational requirements as well as usual nanny duties, looking after him during the day and occasionally to travel with the family to their other residences.
Mum and Dad have busy schedules but will be around and the role will be a blend of Sole and shared charge. A background in tutoring / education is what we are looking for. The boy is lovely and sweet natured, curious about the world and loves learning. He enjoys excursions to the local library, exhibitions and museums, as well as running around , soccer and swimming are his favourites. The family are keen on someone who can also focus on etiquette- as well as general studies, science and math and languages.
They are looking for someone who is able to completely focus and engage with their son and manage his development The family would also like you to travel when needed with the family.
Working Days: Monday- Friday, 5 days 9.30- 5.30 with flexibility
Accommodation: Own bed and bathroom provided when travelling
General duties:
Home-schooling – you should be confident to organise his education and curriculum.
Preparing snacks and simple meals for the child during the day
Driving to activities
All childcare duties
Planning age-appropriate activities that stimulate their development.
Travelling with the family
Candidate requirements:
Confident driver, family have duty car for Nanny to use
Education background
Must have teaching experience of this age group
Must be bi-lingual -Mandarin Ideally, or Spanish, Italian, French .
Excellent English skills to help with speech and homework.
Experience within a similar role
Discreet and with awareness of cultural sensitivities
Firm but fun and a good role model
Happy to travel
Must have Canadian residency or work Visa if based in Toronto
Salary: £75,000 gross per year
Contract Length: 6 months to 1 year
