Two year and his seven year old sister seek a full-time nanny to start ASAP, they are located in the Benoordenhout area, The Hague. You will be working Monday – Friday from 9 – 4pm. Ideally you are happy to babysit, do extra hours in the school holidays and help on weekends, they would love a nanny who can be flexible. There is the possibility of travelling with the family for long weekend trips, trips to London with the Mum and toddler and the odd week long vacation.
The children love the outdoors, are fun and strong willed. The eldest loves animals, bugs, chatting, anything outside and being active. She will be attending international school full time. She thrives on explanations, lots of communication and being told what’s happening next. The youngest loves water play, mud kitchens and being outdoors. A nanny who enjoys planning creative outdoors activities will be a good match for the children, they recently relocated from Australia. After school pick up you will need to take the children to the playground or play with them at home. They have a structured daily routine. The nanny needs to able to hold boundaries in a loving and kind way someone who values lots of communication. The family practices time in rather than time out and rewards good behaviour. Praise and choices work well for the children. The right nanny for this job is flexible, empathetic and patient.
The Mum works partly from home and partly in the office. The Dad is studying he will have to travel to Australia for periods of time. Both parents have busy schedules it’s vital you can manage both of the children by yourself. Being confident in yourself and nannying approach is extremely important for this role.
Duties: Standard nursery duties, cooking healthy snacks and meals for the children and tidying up after the children is required. It would be appreciated if you could walk the dog when the Dad is travelling (it’s a small dog).
Experience and qualifications required: You must have previous nanny experience and professional experience caring for multiple children.
Due to the ASAP start, we can only consider candidates whose first aid certification is up to date and are already living in The Netherlands with a BSN.
Skills required: You must speak fluent English. It would be great if you also speak Dutch or at least can introduce the children to Dutch culture. There will be an electric Urban arrow bakfiets available or bike with child seat (you need to be happy to cycle).
You need to be happy to commit for a year.
There is the potential for six weeks holiday as the family has travel plans throughout the year.
Hourly rate: Starting from €17+ depending on experience and qualifications.
