First-time parents in Sunnyvale, CA, are seeking a highly experienced, professional nanny to support them in caring for their newborn starting in April 2026. This is a primarily child-focused role, especially in the early months, but the family would love someone who is also happy to pitch in with light household tasks during the baby’s naps.The ideal candidate is nurturing, calm, and deeply knowledgeable about newborn/infant care. They’ll be a true partner to the parents, particularly mom, who works from home and will need reliable daytime support during meetings and working hours.
Childcare Responsibilities (Primary Focus):
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a newborn/infant
- Create a calm, nurturing environment that supports healthy sleep and feeding routines
- Monitor milestones and gently encourage development through age-appropriate activities
- Maintain baby’s daily log (feeding, sleep, diapers, etc.) as needed
- Offer partnership and guidance to first-time parents in a respectful, supportive way
Household Responsibilities (During Nap Times):
- Light tidying and upkeep of nursery and common areas
- Baby laundry
- Simple meal prep or light cooking for the family
- Occasional errands as needed
- General household assistance to keep the home running smoothly
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 5–8 hours per day
Compensation: $40+/hour DOE
