A New York–based family traveling to St Tropez this summer is seeking a French-speaking holiday nanny with fluent English to support the care of their two children, ages 4 and 2. This is a temporary role from mid-June through the end of July, working alongside the family’s existing nanny, who will also be traveling but does not speak French. Bilingual fluency is essential to help the family navigate the local area, coordinate activities, and communicate comfortably with local services. The ideal candidate will be confident, adaptable, and experienced in caring for young children in a dynamic, travel-based setting.
Duties include supporting the children’s daily routines, planning fun and engaging activities and outings in and around St Tropez, and assisting with meal preparation, children’s laundry, and keeping play areas tidy and organized. A strong swimmer is required, as you will be actively supervising and swimming with the children. The role requires someone hands-on, energetic, and safety-conscious, with a positive and collaborative approach when working as part of a team with another nanny.
The position offers 50 hours per week over 5 days, with the option for additional hours if you are open to working a 6th day. Accommodation can be provided in the family’s villa, with a private bedroom (bathroom may be shared with the other nanny). Candidates must be self-employed and able to invoice the family directly. Compensation is €25–€30 per hour, depending on experience.
